His cruelty and lust for power led to his demise, but the old and gangly Vastamire felt no remorse for his vile actions.

Obituary:

Who knows how old Vastamire is or how he learned his necromancy? A wise wizard corrupted by darker powers? Or truly an evil soul from birth? Either way, Vastamire met his end the way he lived: crawling through the dirt on his way towards more and more power. 

His search for new evil magics somehow landed him in the tunnels of a kobold stronghold beneath a major city, trapped in the labyrinth. He almost reached his goal: the secrets of an old almost forgotten necromantic spell. As he came closer to his goal, the withered shell of a man became more desperate. He needed Mithril Powder, but Mithril Powder he could not find. 

Vastamire turned on his only ally as they were both trapped beneath the tunnels. He was slain, justly, and his spellbook taken from his body. One can only hope it was destroyed and is not still buried within the kobold tunnels.
