He wanted to make the world's greatest whole foods market to sell his supreme cabbages. His charismatic nature led him to believe he could overprice his inventory and make millions. 

But the trade Capitol would not believe in his ultimate goal and refused to give out a loan. So he tried to steal the funding from the treasury. After his party successfully broke into the roof of the building and killed off 4 guards, he gleefully began to run for the gold. He turned a corner and ran face first into chain lightning. Rest in peace Thomas Babbage the Cabbage man.
