Was incinerated (by accident) by his beloved closet vampire friend, Vladmir, while fighting naked leather skinned demon goatmen.

Obituary:

Maxwell was  not one to make friends easily. An early childhood of struggling on the streets made him distrustful of others- however one day, at a city of crossroads, he met an unlikely bunch of people he would later call his friends, and the same people who (together) would start their adventuring group. Of them all, Vladmir the closet vampire was somehow the one he grew to trust the most. Tragically, while tracking down evil goat men (who had 'terrorized' some nearby pigs), Maxwell was killed in a freak accident. Vladmir had lost control of his (normally shitty) magik power, and killed everyone in the party, inluding himself. R.I.P Party, no one will remember you cause everyones dead. Fuck AOE spells
