Drug from the cozy pile of leaves he called home by a lovable band of bumbling mercenaries, only to die alone in a gladiator pit.

Obituary:

Having lived in a forest alone for so long he forgot his own name, twigbark spouted off the first thing he saw when a band of adventurers asked what he was called.  Planning only to help the party reach the other side of his dangerous home he was swept up into an adventure full of magic and danger. Forced to compete in gladiatorial style games twigbark met his end at the eyes of a beholder.
