Epitaph:

An undead beholder got a lucky hit with its disintegration beam and turned Borum into a pile of dust.

Obituary:

Borum "Shine-eye" (he had given up on his clan name) was cast out from his clans mountain home for a treason (he had refused to heal a sadistic old clan lord and instead let him die in his care) and wandered to the outside world. There he witnessed for the first time a magnificent sunrise and in that breathtaking moment he found a goddess Sune, a deity of sun and beauty. He became a doctor in a small human village where he treated the villagers and discussed about topics of faith and gods with the local priest. One day he was visiting a village ravaged by an attack of villainous wizards when he became entangled with human government and was recruited to help keep a hidden daemonic rift closed. After that he returned to his village where he met a halfling thief named Levo. They saved the village from a mysterious disease and together with his new friend took off on a journey proper to the outside world. He met his end in a long forgotten sunken city, fulfilling a promise to a new draconic friend and battling against a mindless undead monstrosity. Borum died far from the light of his goddess and in his last moment, when the beholders necrotic ray started eating his leg and quickly started disintegrating him, he hoped that his friend Levo managed to escape the same fate.
