Dead because the DMPC didn't know about the medicine check and because halfling luck just isn't lucky enough.

Obituary:

Corrin was a halfling man of the village treegate. He lived in relative peace as a travelling alchemist with his trusty wolf companion: Fatty Arbuckle. On one fateful day in the bowels of a goblin-infested temple, Corrin was knocked unconcious by an Insect Plague from the resident Mummy Lord. While at 1 failed death saving throw, the DMPC removed Corrin from the AoE and promptly ignored Corrin and healed the almost-full-health sorcerer for 4 points to top him off. Corrin proceeded to roll a nat 1 on his death save, which he rerolled due to his halfling luck... into another nat 1. Corrin is succeeded by no one, and was left dead and looted at the bottom of the dungeon.
